If you are unable to embark on the trip due to accident or illness, for example, we will pay the cancellation costs.

This also applies if you are unable to embark on the trip because relatives, a life partner or very close friends have had an accident or fallen ill at home.

Personal assistance

If you fall ill or have an accident while on holiday, we will organise and pay for your return trip.

If you have to be repatriated for medical reasons, you are entitled to a repeat trip.

Motor vehicle breakdown assistance when travelling in Europe

If you cannot continue your journey due to a breakdown, an accident or because your vehicle has been stolen, we will assist you throughout Europe.

Good to know:
The insurance covers not only the cost of your overnight stay while your vehicle is being repaired or in the case of theft, but also the delivery of spare parts abroad.

We pay lawyer’s fees and defence costs incurred in connection with travel outside Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Your luggage and property are insured against damage and destruction during the trip for up to CHF 2,000.

If, for example, you drop your camera while travelling, we will cover the loss.

Who is the travel insurance for?

Scope of cover

"Europe" includes all countries belonging to the European continent, excluding their overseas territories. The scope of Europe also includes the Mediterranean and Canary Islands, Madeira and the non-European Mediterranean rim states. The scope ends in the east with the states of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia as well as with the mountain ridge of the Ural Mountains.
