Our assistance insurance protects you in the event of unfortunate incidents like this. Whether you’ve had a breakdown or an accident or your car’s been stolen, we provide help on the spot and save you both money and trouble. Wherever you’re in need, simply give us a call. We are here for you – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including in Switzerland’s neighbouring countries.

Our tip: in the event of a claim, always contact vehicle assistance first before organising anything yourself. Otherwise, it is possible that the costs will not be covered. And remember to have the Green Card with you when you go abroad.

The holidays started so well and then all of a sudden your car breaks down. There’s nothing for it – the vehicle will have to be towed away. But all is not lost – if you have taken out assistance insurance for your vehicle, our breakdown assistance will arrange for your car to be taken to the nearest suitable repair shop in the event of a breakdown or an accident. What is more, we also cover the cost of transporting the vehicle. You only have to pay for the repairs and any replacement parts (or the scrappage costs).

You take evasive action and avoid an accident by the skin of your teeth – phew! But alas – having come off the road, your vehicle is now stuck in the mud and there’s no way you can get it out. Don’t worry: all you have to do is call our breakdown assistance. We will organise the recovery of your vehicle and cover the costs of this.
If your vehicle has been stolen or needs to be repaired, our breakdown assistance will help you. Cannot return home or travel on to your destination on the same day? Then you and your passengers are entitled to an overnight stay costing up to CHF 120 per person.

Want to travel home on the same day after a breakdown, an accident or the theft of your vehicle? Our assistance insurance will arrange this for you, too.

We will pay for a first-class train ticket for onward travel by public transport in Switzerland or Liechtenstein and a first-class train ticket or an economy-class flight if you are travelling from abroad. If no public transport is available for the return journey from Switzerland or the Principality of Liechtenstein, we will cover a taxi fare costing up to CHF 500.

Would you prefer to return home or travel on to your destination by car? No problem at all: for claims in Switzerland or Liechtenstein, we will pay up to CHF 500 for a rental car. Abroad, the rental car (which should be from the same vehicle category if possible) can cost up to CHF 1,500.

  • More cover for rental vehicles: if your rental car is damaged or stolen, Assistance Top will cover any excess that applies. We also assume additional costs such as child seats and sat navs.
  • More service abroad: our interpreter service will help you if you are having communication problems. Furthermore, we will also pay you an advance for repairs if you are unable to access your money abroad.
  • A heart for your four-legged friend: we will also organise onward travel for your dog or cat.
